Mike Pritchard
Sales Director
In 1979, Mike’s journey in the travel industry began as a trainee Travel Agent with the renowned agency, Thomas Cook. Over the next 20 years, he gained invaluable experience while working across the globe. Then, he found his passion for the UK Ski Industry when he joined an independent agency in Sheffield Ski Village.
Throughout his career, Mike has been fortunate to explore various destinations including most of mainland Europe, to countries such as Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Gibraltar. He has also ventured beyond Europe to countries like Iceland, Morocco, Kenya, Dubai, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti, Rarotonga, and Hawaii in the Pacific. Additionally, his travels have taken him to places like Aitutaki Atoll, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Trinidad & Tobago, Bahamas, Barbados, Puerto Rico, The Virgin Islands, The USA, Canada, and Alaska. However, there are still some dream destinations on his bucket list, including Tierra Del Fuego, the Galapagos Islands, Antarctica, Costa Rica, the Panama Canal, and Sri Lanka.
In 2008, Mike took a significant step and established Born2Ski, which later evolved into Born2Ski & Travel Ltd. This new venture has opened doors to breathtaking corners of Planet Earth, filling his life with an abundance of fantastic travel experiences. With this wealth of knowledge and first-hand experiences, he delights in sharing memorable journeys with his clients.
Leoni Sowerbutts
Senior Travel Consultant
At the age of 18, Leoni embarked on her journey in the travel industry, working on TUI Cruise ships. Being part of that experience was truly delightful as she took pleasure in ensuring every guest had the best possible time on board during their holidays.
Leoni has been lucky enough to visit lots of different countries around the world including a variety of the Greek Islands: Corfu, Mykonos, Zakynthos, Kos, Italy: Venice, and Croatia: Rovinj, Dubrovnik on board the cruise ships.
She has enjoyed luxurious getaways in the Maldives, Turkey, and Portugal and cultural breaks in Sri Lanka, Barcelona and Prague. Leoni loved her first taste of Skiing in the Dolomites in Italy and can’t wait to go to Grand Massif – Les Carroz next year!
Now, after 16 years, Leoni finds herself back in the travel industry. As a mother of two young children, she understands the value of family time and the significance of creating lasting memories together. Anne Pendleton
Senior Ski Specialist
Our Ski specialist Anne first skied at the age of 20, on a solo holiday in Austria – despite being, at first, “absolutely rubbish” – her words – she loved it so much she’s skied at least once a year since. Working in ski travel for the last 20 years, Anne re-joins Born 2 Ski & Travel as our Senior Ski Specialist.
Anne has skied extensively in Europe including resorts in Austria, Italy, France, Switzerland and Andorra; she has organised everything from solo holidays, to groups of friends where the apres was at least as important as the skiing, plus family holidays with babies, older children and teenagers. She’s stayed in everything from French ‘rabbit hutch’ apartments, simple family-run hotels, catered chalets, Club Med All Inclusive and 5* luxury hotels. Anne says her favourite ski resort is anywhere with good snow, but she especially enjoys St Gervais, Samoens, Cervinia and Zell am See.
